Recordings were made July 2020 in London's Henry Wood Hall, and the engineers have captured the elegant performances to perfectiontion. Nothing really major here, but it i superbly presented. This site has praised a number of recordings by British soprano Carolyn Sampson, most recently a collection of music by English com;posers (REVIRW) Now we have this Schumann disk featuring lieder of the Schumanns, Robert and Clara, focusing on love. We have eight scenes from song cycles separated by three of Robert's piano solos Joseph Middleton, who frequently performs with Ms. Sampson, is the sensitive pianist The recordings were made August 2018 in London's St. Georges Bristol, and the sonic picture is well-balanced. Complete texts and translations are provided. A fine release This new version of Bach's Six Brandenburg Concertos is a major, imaginative addition to the catalog. Performances are by the superb Swedish Chamber ro Orchestra conducted by Thomas Dausgaard in 2001 this fine ensemble commissioned six leading composers to write modern versions of these masterpieces, and all are heard on this fine new release. The spirit of the originals was maintained in all six and the numerous soloists have ample opportunity to display their virtuosity. These performances were recorded May 2017 in Sweden's Orebro Concert Hall. Engineering is excellent. Even if you have other recordings of Bach's mighty Six, you should investigate this unique issue.
