A magnificent CD in every way:  superb performances that sound more as if they were performed on regular than "period" instruments, and splendid sound with performers primarily in the front but plenty of resonance/reflected sound coming from sides and back, quite similar to the Charles Mackerras EMI DVDA version .  By way of contrast, the third  currently available multi-channel recording of both works on Vanguard  SACD  puts you right in the center of the orchestra - although it doesn't include the complete Water Music.

"From the Isles to the Courts"
Ensemble Galilei (Liz Knowles, fiddle; Deborah Nuse, Scottish small pipes and fiddle; Sarah Weiner, oboe, recorders, and pennywhistle; Sue Richards, Celtic harp; Carolyn Anderson Surrick, viola da gamba, with Jan Hagiwara, percussion and Nancy Karpeles, bowed psaltery).
