Publicity for this important huge set describes the ontents: Among the treasures in this box set are 9 recordings that appear on CD for the first time, including French Empire string quartets, Rameau’s Pigmalion, Early Italain organ music, Schubert’s Arpeggione Sonata, Weber Songs with guitar, Haydn Baryton Trios, and Hespèrion XX’s only recording with the label. Other highlights include Telemann’s complete constant Music Master, Cherubini’s Comlete String Quartets, the complete Music of the Gothic Era with David Munrow and Purcell’s Choral Works with Simon Preston and Christ Church Choir Oxford.

Each CD has its own cardboard slip cover illustrated with the cover of the original release. A 152 page booklet gives complete disk information, many photos and a brief essay by David Butchart about some of the recordings. This is a first-cass production in every way, and collectors who treasure many of the original releases will welcome this opportunity to hear them again in digital remastering. This is a limited edition super-budget issue. Don't miss it!
